Introduction
Shree Panchajanya Secondary School is a community based academic institute located in Barbardiya Municipality Ward no. 4 Padanaha Bardiya district of Nepal. It was established in 2019 BS (1962 AD). This school is affiliated with the National Examination Board, Council for Technical and Vocational Training (CTEVT) and approved by Ministry of Education (MoE) Nepal. It offers 10+2 programmes in Education and Management stream. The school also offers 18 months JTA programmes in Plant Science and 3 years Diploma in Agriculture in Plant Science (I.Sc. Ag.) for 40 students each year in each stream. It provides the elementary level to secondary level (+2) education with nominal and affordable fees structures. It also provides scholarship schemes for hard working, Dalit, Janjati, Adivasi deserving and the disadvantaged students of the society.
Shree Panchajanya Secondary School provides various facilities such as counseling, games and sports, library, co-curricular activities, science and agriculture labs, educational tours, conference, multimedia classrooms, counselling and scholarship facilities, etc.
History
Shree Panchajanya Secondary School is a community based academic institute located in Barbardiya Municipality Ward no. 4 Padanaha, Bardiya district of Nepal. It was established in 2019 BS (1962 AD). With the name of Rastriya Primary School. Most of the residents here are Tharu. There were no schools in this community. They realized the need of formal education and as a result this school was born out of the ideology that the children must be provided with formal school education. At first there were no buildings as well as good settlements for teaching learning activities. Until 2031 BS, teaching learning activities were done in the yard, barn, garden and open fields. Finally, it was set up on the land of Bhairab Guthi in 2032 BS.
After the implementation of National Education System Plan 2028 BS, the School got the solid curriculum, text books and a teacher quota.
In 2034 BS, a gathering of educationists, intellectuals and teachers was convented to address the school building and educational problems. The meeting decided to construct the necessary building for the school on the land of Bhairav Guthi. In 2036 BS it was upgraded to lower secondary level school. After that, the name of the school was changed from Shree Nepal Rastriya Primary School to Shree Panchajanya Lower Secondary School After the name of Lord Krishna’s beloved stunning Conch ‘Panchajanya’.
The school was facing various challenges and especially financial difficulties. Carrying a bright future, the school found a good source of financial support in 2039 BS Rs. 7200/- received from the sale of timber from two mango orchards in Padanaha VDC ward no. 2 and 7 was deposited in the name of the school. In the same year, the great task of registering 44345 square meters of public land in Padanaha VDC ward no. 2 and 7 in the name of school was done by the then Chairman of the school steering Committee Tribhu Bahadur Bhatta through the joint efforts of parents, educationists and intellectuals. Considering the demands and needs of the society, secondary level education was started in the year 2049 BS. With active participation of teachers, educationists and parents. In 2066 BS. the school got approval from NEB to run Ten Plus Two in Education and Management.
In 2075 the school go affiliation from CTEVT to conduct plant science for 18 months and from 2076 BS it has also conducted plant science (Isc. Ag.) for 3 years. Currently, the school has been selected as a proposed model secondary school by the federal government and the school is running various educational reform programmes.
